Odisha’s premium OTT platform, Kanccha Lannka, Streamed the thrilling movie ‘Gangs Of Puri’ on 24th June 2022 engaging a large audience towards itself. The history of the holy place is covered with plenty of untold stories and hence termed as Mysterious.  

The web series had tried to unveil the most censored moment; the pilgrimage hot spot Puri on the arms of a serene coastline is also controlled by the gangs. The coexistence of good and bad, ethical and unethical, has been shown in the series. It is a pack of action and thrill that traces the journey of crime in the lanes of Puri, involving mafias, greedy politicians, and hot-blooded gangsters fighting for dominance in the city.

The series begins with a Bengali hotelier approaching the local MLA, Raja bahinpati, to set up a hotel in the fisherman’s village by ousting the locals. But their plan comes to a shade when they find the area comes under the jurisdiction of the local sahi crime lord, aka Robinhood of Puri, Babu Jena. This burst into the flames of age-old rivalry, and the sacred town of Puri turned into a fleshy, bloody battlefield. It has created a buzz in people’s minds and attracted a large audience for its action and thrilling genre.

Technoart Productionz produces the Heart throbbing series under the direction of Anupam Patnaik and Jagdish Mishra. It required 2 years of research, planning and executing the authentic look and feel of the series. The members consisted had Krishna Kar, Ankita Mohanty, Anjana Das, Hara Rath, Rabi Mishra, Debanand Sony, Prasanna Rath, Niranjan Acharya and Bhakti Das. Together they have done great work in recreating the 90s time of Puri again.
