Like all the major smartphone manufacturers, Samsung is also facing the heat of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. Besides, the stiff competition from its Chinese counterparts and its traditional rival Apple is making the life difficult for the South Korean manufacturer. These days, the outbreak situation is improving in South Korea, but not for Samsung
A recent report reveals that the sales number for the recently launched S20 series is disappointing. The S20 series sold around 40% lesser than the Galaxy S10. Though the S20 series got quite good reception from all over the world, the number is quite disappointing.
Same is the Case with International Market
The recently reported number only considered the Korean market. But, looking at the current trend, it seems like these Samsung phones performed poorly at the international market, as well. The newly launched phone got multiple discounts in Amazon, USA. As a result, the Galaxy S20 Plus, and S20 are available at 1000 USD and 800 USD, respectively.
The ongoing lockdown in different parts of the world is going to hamper the sales of Samsung smartphones further.
Snapdragon 865 VS Exynos 990
Besides, the South Korean company is offering its own manufactured Exynos 990 processor in several countries like Australia and India. However, the smartphone manufacturer is providing the flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset with the US variants. It is no secret that Snapdragon 865 is more capable chipset than Exynos 990. Therefore, people prefer to buy the smartphone with the flagship chipset.
There was a time when Snapdragon and Exynos were really competitive, and there was only a slight difference in terms of performance. But the same is not the case today. These days, except Apple’s A-Series, Snapdragon outperforms all existing mobile chipset.
