IMD issues yellow alert for thunderstorm, heatwave for Odisha districts

According to India Meteorological Department, several parts of Odisha will experience thunderstorm activities during the next 4 to 5 days. A yellow warning for thunderstorm, lightning and heatwave have been issued in several parts of the State.

Weather Forecast: Day-1 (valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 07.06.2022)

Yellow Warning( Be updated) Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Sambalpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada.

Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Boudh.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 07.06.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 08.06.2022)

Yellow Warning( Be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.

Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Boudh.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 08.06.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 09.06.2022)

Yellow Warning( Be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak.

Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Boudh.
