The Indira Gandhi National Open University, known as IGNOU, is a Central Open Learning University headquarter in New Delhi and branched into almost every Indian state. The Bhubaneswar-based IGNOU has been released to offer 18 new courses to students looking to study by distance.
IGNOU is considered a better option for the learning students who want to pursue education ahead but cannot continue due to jobs or other family responsibilities.
IGNOU allows students to realize their dream and accomplish their desire for further studies.
The New Academic year will offer students 18 new courses to study, including three postgraduate (PG), one undergraduate (UG), nine PG diplomas and five certificate courses.
Three Post Graduation courses are to be offered MSc in Food safety and quality management, MA in Hindi vyavsayik lekhan and MA in Vedic studies.
Under Graduation will add one course on BA in Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in vocational studies.
In its nine PG diploma courses, the university will offer American literature, British literature, Industrial safety, electronic media, new literature in English, The Novel, vashushashtra from India and writings from the margins.
Furthermore, five certificate courses like Gender in law, Smart city development and management and Gender sciences are added.
The increase of 18 courses by the IGNOU in the new academic year from July is all set to boost the education revolution at the UG and PG levels. The modification is being made for the students hiring distance education with work balance. The new courses will groom an individual with every aspect the student wants to learn by pursuing the courses of their choice.
The education system in India post New Education Policy 2020 -has taken a great flight. The same has been tried with distance education so that no curious to learn student would be left behind and go away from access to education.
