Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates Jharkhand’s Second Airport at Deoghar after Ranchi. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone on May 25, 2018, and the Airport spread over 657 acres and will be inaugurated on July 12, 2022.
Facts
The Deoghar Airport is the second Airport built in Jharkhand after Ranchi. The total cost of the project was ₹ 400 crores, and it was able to handle over 5 lakh passengers. It has a well-furnished 2,500mt paved runway for easy flights.
PM Modi flagged the first Deoghar-Kolkata Indigo Flight and inaugurated the 100ft. height National flag situated at the midst of the entrance of the Airport.
The Airport has beautiful traditional monuments and sculptures at the entrance and in the interiors of the Airport terminals. The tribal-state has beautifully portrayed its tribal art and paintings through graffiti, which shows their rich culture and heritage.
At the inauguration ceremony of the Deoghar Airport, Chief Minister Hemant Soren also attended the event with other state ministers.
The Airport is specially constructed to directly connect to Baba Baidyanath Dham at Deoghar from any part of the country. The devotees will easily and directly reach their destination through this airport connectivity. The Deoghar Airport will contribute to the state’s and country’s national Gross domestic product (GDP) and tourism.
The Airport have much advanced biometric technology, crowd monitoring, Artificial Intelligence for bag tracking, and voice control.
The project depicts growing India; it sets a perfect example for Atmanirbhar Bharat as indigenous companies do every infrastructural, monitoring, Wi-Fi connectivity digital instalments. TATA projects handled the infrastructural projects, the fuel by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and the own state land of Jharkhand collected other mineral resources.
Conclusion
Jharkhand has high reserves of Coal, Bauxite, Iron, and steel; hence, the state is self-sufficient in this aspect. The infrastructure, the design, and the greenery show the true essence of Jharkhand’s culture and heritage. It sets a new milestone for the Department of Jharkhand tourism.
