Let’s get into details of every part of the movie to know how they created magic on screen.
Original and Nostalgic Story:
Everyone has a story of their school life. So, no matter who you are, what you do or where you are in life, the story line of Dasama will hit your heart. The story starts with an announcement of summer vacation indicating the beginning of a session. Summer vacation is a bag full of memories for every student and especially in village life. Dasama movie shows that with exceptional relatability. Small elements like constant power cuts, afternoon cricket matches, evening chatting with friends, vacation special homework make the story lively and port you to those years. It is the maker’s attention to details that will keep you hooked to the story till the end. They have outdone themselves in creating a movie that will make you feel like a part of it.
Fresh Screenplay and relatable dialogues:
This is a familiar story for everyone because all have gone through those years, and more or less the memories remain similar. But still the screenplay and dialogues are written so well that you will not feel bored. Raja Dash, Kumarshree Sahoo, B.Uttam Kumar have done a great job in writing something familiar and unique at the same time. The story flows like a river and you just get mesmerized with the maker’s storytelling skills.
The dialogues are so funny, unique and like our daily lives. The nicknames of the characters in the movie like England and Sakaba will bring a laugh to your face. Don’t lie, we all have given funny names to our friends based on their characters and appearances. Watching the movie will give you a feel as if the entire year of tenth is coming back to life in front of your eyes. And that is the best part about it.
Realistic Acting:
The casting director Deepak Jena from Deeps Casting has chosen a bunch of amateur and new actors and actresses for the roles. But that is the reason why the story looks so real, because the performers look like school going students who do not give a damn about life and only live for fun. They all have performed like a bunch of friends hanging out on the set and there is no one watching them. You can feel the bonding of friendship among the star casts through the screen. Sailendra Samantray, despite not being a newcomer, has gelled very well with the debut movie actors and actresses. The performers have left no stone unturned in entertaining you.
Soulful Music:
This movie has six soulful songs based on different situations. All the songs are of different genres giving you a wider choice to listen to. The music team has done an exceptional job. The music, the lyrics and the singing will directly take you to the situation. Songs like “Kahinki ae Pruthibi re”, “Smruti Pakhi” will touch your heart whereas songs like “Radha Nachiba” will give you nostalgia.
