Lately, on Sunday evening, 3 died, and many were injured at the Field’s mall in Copenhagen, Denmark. The capital city witnessed a brutal shooting claiming 3 lives and many critically injured. The shooting took place at the fields shopping mall at Orestad, which is considered to be a developing city in Copenhagen.
According to the sources, it is assumed that the gunman opened fire once and later entered a mall which seemed to be 5 story building with a crowd of people. The shooting resulted in the death of a 40-year-old man and two unidentified youths. Most mall visitors are presumed to be youths and children, and most are outsiders, not locals.
After the incident, the investigation team enquired about the incident and went holistically with the CCTV shortages resulting in a grainy image of the teenager under suspect. The suspected 22 yr old teen was arrested after 15 minutes of the incident as the dress code of the grainy image matched the suspect. Hence, under suspicion, the 22-year-old was arrested.
With grief, the Copenhagen police inspector Soren Thomassen stated that it was the first time a brutal incident had occurred in the so-called safest city of Denmark. He further added assuring citizens to be safe, lock themselves in their respective houses, and not panic about the situation.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen stated the attack was brutal, heartless, and cruel and urged citizens to stay safe until the situation completely came under control.
The Majority number of populations are presumed to be youths and children. Many were visitors and not locals because of the scheduled concert of the British singer Harry Styles to be held later that evening.
Other events like the Prince’s reception and many other events were canceled after the shooting incident.
Police are inspecting the whole situation and the culprits behind the gunshot, helping the victims shift to the hospital with safety and security measures for the victims and their families.
