The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) released a report where 7039 Civil services application forms have been rejected due to incomplete data. The forms were rejected due to incomplete address and date of birth, some have issues with fee payment, and some candidates have not given down their physical measurements.
Facts
The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) released its online application in February 2022 for the Odisha Civil services exam 2021, forms were invited, and over 15 lakhs candidates submitted their application forms.
After the rejection application news aired, aspirants went to check out the 349-page list where the OPSC had mentioned names and reasons for the rejection of the candidate.
A candidate said, “Surprisingly, grounds of application rejection of most of the candidates are nearly similar. The OPSC should have thought about it before rejecting the form. Can an OPSC aspirant not fill up his address, date of birth, and measurements? It might be a technical glitch; OPSC should give a second chance to the rejected list candidates”.
Conclusion
At this moment, the candidates are demanding a second chance to resolve the problem addressed by the OPSC. It is now to see whether OPSC gives the rejected candidates a second chance or moves further with the examination procedure and selection method.
