Exclusive news came out yesterday, the designs of the new PlayStation 5 of Sony has been leaked. This new PlayStation 5 will be arriving in the market in 2020, and the company has even announced the date of the launch. The speed in the demos of the PS5 is just amazing, but the exact launching date and price of the new PS5 is still not known. However, one game developer, Matthew Stott has confirmed the news of the twitter about the PS5 devkit.
A ResetEra has disclosed a European news patent of Sony that it is some hardware device and the guess is that the this is PlayStation 5 design and might most possibly be designed for PS5 devkit. The patent images were looking unusual, and the hardware design is shaped in “V” curve. But don’t get this as an alphabet letter “V,” because it is the roman letter “V” which means 5 as in for PlayStation 5. This thing about it enhances the consideration that this design might be of PS5 and later on Twitter it was confirmed by Matthew Stott that indeed the design is of devkit. He is the Codemasters senior artist.
Later many people also proved the news to be correct, it actually might be the design of devkit as it looks bulky, which seems an odd choice for selling a product in retail. Additionally, the devkit of PS4 is also bulky as the new one is looking in the patent design. The numbers of vents and front button layout are also very similar.
These are the first leaked images of the devkit of the PS5, although they look very convincing to be the final product for retail selling and can also have similarities in the visual. But, still, we need to wait for any further confirmation from the company. It is already cleared by Sony that the PS4 will come with high power CPU and GPU.
