The NEET aspirants write to Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan to delay the exam by 30- 45 days.
After, the notice was released by the National Testing Agency(NTA) for the conduction of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), which was scheduled to be held on July 17. The aspirants urged the Government to write an open letter to the Union minister and the NTA to postpone the exam so they could prepare well.
Facts
The aspirants also made various hashtags and tweets, conveying their demand for the delay of JEE exam this year. Urging the Government to do the same with the NEET aspirants by extending the examination dates. Students commented on other social media platforms like Twitter and Youtube. One aspirant named, Neha Kumari expressed her grief writing, “It’s accepted from NTA’s side that they never support medical student problem. Further, she adds that NTA always supports JEE students and this year their exam was postponed as well”.
Current Situation
Over lakhs of aspirants use the trending hashtag #PleaseDelayNEETUG.
The demand is to postpone the exam because last year it was scheduled for September 2021, and the year 2022 July has been the scheduled date, giving an aspirant less than 10 months to prepare for the examination.
Way Forward
NTA releases stating that it has received letters and consoles the NEET aspirants to act on this. The aspirants are now holding their breath for the positive news from the NTA.
