Kanika Mann is to play the role of Bondita as a grown-up in Barrister Babu

The much-awaited wait is over! It is confirmed that Kanika Mann will play the role of Bondita as her grown-up version in Barrister Babu.

Color TV’s famous show, Barrister Babu, has been gaining viewers a lot lately. Moreover, with Aurra Bhatnagar Badoni and Pravisht Mishra as their lead, it is the real talk of the town. While the show is popular because of its storyline, the characters’ chemistry, i.e., Bondita and Anirudh, has also garnered several praises.

The Story

The story revolves around Anirudh, a young lawyer from London, who stops an eight-year-old girl wedding, Bondita, tied with an older man. Moreover, when everybody forces her to marry the man herself, Anirudh helped Bondita fight for her right.

Now the show is set up to witness a great leap by casting Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega fame Kanika Mann as their lead role Bondita.

Kanika is expected to start her shoot in two or three days. However, in the beginning, it is going to be more of a promo shoot.

Interestingly, many actresses were being considered for the grown-up role of Bondita, including Reem Sheikh and Ashnoor Kaur. But finally, it was Kanika who was selected for the role. Meanwhile, there were also rumors that the initial plan of the makers was to make a leap early this year.

However, it did not go as per plan because of the second wave of COVID-19. So now the makers are waiting to make the leap in the coming few weeks.

The choices

Actress Reim Shekh was not selected because she had apprehensions to enter an ongoing show even though she was more eager to be a part of the show.

Besides, Ashnoor Kaur was also one of the options for the role of Bondita; she could not get the part because of her board examination.

The only thing that is holding the makers back from making a leap is the government restriction. So, as soon as the restriction is lifted from Maharashtra to begin the shooting, the actor will post the leap.

Moreover, it is expected that the shooting with the new cast will probably begin in June last week or July first week.

But until Kanika Mann does not appear on screen, to maintain the thrill of the viewers, the makers of the daily soap decided to introduce a new character, Sadiya Siddiqui, as Thakkumaa. She is a strong and powerful woman who has suffered a lot in her time
