The effect of the coronavirus outbreak has forced Apple to postpone its scheduled iPhone SE2 launch. Previously, Apple scheduled to launch its budget iPhone aka iPhone SE2, in the middle of the march. But, later, a strong rumor claimed that the event postponed to the last leg of the month.
iPhone SE2 is one of the highly anticipated devices of this year. But recently, a Taiwan-based report claims that Apple delayed it’s launch at least by some months. Now, it seems like Apple might postpone its launch event to the second quarter of this year. The report suggests that the manufacturing partners of Apple will deliver the shipment in the second quarter instead of the first quarter.
The outbreak of coronavirus has largely affected the manufacturing sector in China. Apple was planning the entire mass production of the upcoming device in China, and currently facing the consequences.
More about the Smartphone
The upcoming iPhone SE2 (Rumored iPhone 9) will bring the Steve Jobs form factor with the classic Touch ID home button. Unlike the original SE, the smartphone will have a 4.7 inches display, which is similar to the iPhone 8. The backside of the smartphone will have a glass panel and will support wireless charging. Like other Apple phones, the upcoming iPhone SE2 will have the IP 68 rating for dust and water resistance. Besides, the design will be very similar to the iPhone 8.
Though the smartphone is similar to the iPhone 8 in terms of looks and design, the internal specification will be quite different. The phone will have Apple’s latest A13 chipset and powered by 3 GB of RAM. The phone will be available at an impressive starting price of 399 USD. Therefore, Apple is planning to capture a significant market share in countries like India and China with its latest offering.
