Meet Biswajit, an emerging chef hailing from Odisha, who made his mark on the culinary world as a contestant in MasterChef season 7. After completing his B.Tech, Biswajit found himself working in an IT company in Mysore. However, despite the stable job, he couldn’t ignore the persistent call of his true passion: food.
The allure of the culinary arts was ever-present in his mind and heart, and after just three months of the monotonous IT job, he decided to take a bold step. Determined to live his dreams, he left the job and returned to his hometown, Bhubaneswar.
Biswajit’s journey in the world of food began with working at various prestigious five-star properties in cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore, and even expanding his culinary expertise to Thailand. But it was during this journey that the calling of his roots became impossible to ignore. Feeling an unbreakable connection to his homeland, he made the courageous decision to leave everything behind and return to Bhubaneswar.
In 2018, Biswajit finally realized his lifelong dream of opening his own restaurant, which he aptly named “Breathe by Biswajit.” This venture became the manifestation of his culinary passion, and through it, he sought to bring his innovative and traditional Odia flavors to the world.
With a strong focus on reviving traditional Odia cuisine while infusing it with modern flair, Biswajit’s culinary creations garnered attention and appreciation from locals and tourists alike. His restaurant became a sought-after dining destination, attracting food enthusiasts from all walks of life.
