Facebook launches its Messenger app for macOS and Windows 10 desktop users. Subsequently, it allows all those users to have a voice call, texting and video call for free on their desktops. The Facebook Messenger app is available on the Mac app store and Microsoft store. Previously, the app was only available on iOS and Android.

According to a recent report, Facebook claims that the usage of desktop browsers for the purpose of voice and video calling on Messenger has jumped more than twice in the last few months. During that statement, Facebook didn’t mention about the evident reason behind this significant rise ‘the novel coronavirus’. On the other hand, there is a hike in Hangouts Meet usage to nearly 25 times.
