On Friday, the chief minister of Delhi, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, said that the city would start unlocking from Monday, i.e., May 31, from 5 am. He added that the construction factories and the activities would first reopen. According to a webcast, while talking about Delhi lockdown cases Mr. Arvind Kejriwal said that the national capital recorded around 1,100 cases at a rate of 1.5 percent at a favorable rate in the last twenty-four hours.
The chief minister of Delhi on April 19 announced a lockdown. The news of Delhi lockdown cases spread at a great speed. This was the day before the covid cases touched a peak of more than 28,000. The positive rate on that day was 30 percent. It has gradually extended from then onwards.
The CM of Delhi said that the people of the national capital have cooperated, and since the last few months, the government had tried to bring down the number of cases and the positivity rate. According to the decision made in the DDMA or Delhi Disaster Management Authorities meeting, Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal chaired said that the lockdown would be slowly taken over on Monday from 5 am.

If the cases begin to rise, the state government will begin to lockdown once again. He suggested the people of the state to be careful once again. He announced that no one wants lockdown in the state, but now this is the need of the hour. He also added that everyone should follow the Covid protocols properly.
The government of Delhi announced reopening phase-wise. On May 26, the CAIT, Confederation of All India Traders, sent one proposal to Anil Baijal and Arvind Kejriwal after a brief talk with the trade associations of New Delhi. The proposal is to urge the government to open all the markets but also maintain phased manners. They should all maintain mandatory rules for Covid safety guidelines and measures in the market.
