Odisha and its border disputes with neighboring states are evident. A movie based on these disputes, adulteration of our culture and how we can work to revive it is coming to the theaters. “PARAB” is a movie which can drastically change the way people look at Odisha and its films. The first look was released on 28th July 2024 in the YouTube channel of JP Motion Pictures, the production house of the movie. In 48 hours, it has crossed 2 freaking million views in all the digital platforms combined. The first look is promising enough to drag Odia audiences to the cinema halls. The dialogues, the visuals, the BGM and the actors; everything is appealing and impressive. From the makers of “DAMaN”, this was another masterpiece for the audience. DAMaN changed the course of Odia cinema and fans are excited to see what “Parab” can achieve.

This movie is directed by Chinmay Das, who is a new face for Odia cinema. His vision with respect to this project seems clear and crisp. He has created a movie showcasing the indomitable spirit of Odia people. The team of “Parab” includes veteran actors like Sidhant Mohapatra, Anu Choudhury, Choudhury Jayprakash Das and more. Young and talented artists like Dipanwit are also a part of the cast. The team seems like a mixture of experience and enthusiasm which can create magic for the audience.

The story has been written by the director Chinmay Das and Amit Kumar Dash. A completely original and unique story which is based on true events will be refreshing to watch on screen. It has dived deep into the boundary disputes of Odisha and created an entertaining and enlightening story from a political issue which is creative.
