Her unique designs and commitment to sustainability and cultural preservation make them a force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry.

Achievements

She is a fashion designer cum entrepreneur and did her masters from Domus Academy Milan and subsequently started working for Zara at Shahi Exports. She always believed in her dreams and never gave up. Her mother is the inspiration behind her love for fabrics. After many years she decided to start her own label. She had researched that field to dig out all the information she needed to start her label. She always draws inspiration from all the weavers from Odisha who are working effortlessly to design sarees; she supports them and also credits her success to them.

At a very young age, she had done interviews with Edex Indian Express and multiple news channels. The turning point of her career was when she collaborated with Sakshi Sidhwani, and she appreciated her brand was happiness for her because she admired her and her confidence a lot. Her recent fashion show as a lead designer with so much appreciation and recognition was another boost for her to keep leading this path.

1. How did you first get started as an influencer? What motivated you to pursue this career path?

My love for handloom and enthusiasm towards business, a combination of coming up together, made me start my own journey as a young entrepreneur.

2. What niche or topics do you primarily focus on as an influencer, and why did you choose that particular area?

I travel, research, and create. As a designer, I focus on bringing trends and forecasts to our beautiful living tradition, i.e., handlooms and handicrafts of India.

3. Could you share some of the biggest challenges you faced during your journey as an influencer? How did you overcome them?

In the ever-changing market and belonging from a nonbusiness background, seldom are you taught more you fall and learn. Mentally emotionally, financially even socially, I had to evolve so many times with things to make myself and my dream clear and near.

4. What strategies do you use to engage and connect with your audience? How do you maintain their interest and loyalty?

Design from my heart. Every piece that I design with my handloom and weaver has a story of its own. That’s my main strategy before all. Quality over anything and consistency will retain customers irrespective of any hurdles. With all of that, maintaining a good culture with the people working for you is a must.

5. What advice would you give aspiring influencers just starting their journey?

Hang in there. It is going to be a roller coaster ride. You are going to feel very, very discouraged at times, and your own people will at times lose faith in you, but still, if you can vision it, do your bit every day and hang in there. Entrepreneurship takes work. It is ugly, yet if you get a taste of it, you go addicted to it. Design for you; design what speaks to you and your soul.
