June 21 is celebrated as International Yoga Day. Addressing Yoga as the Global Festival PM Modi has celebrated International Day in Mysuru.
This year the theme for the celebration of International Yoga Day is “Yoga for Humanity,” and around 25 crore people worldwide are expected to participate in various events, doing Yoga towards better health and wellness. Many states have organized the day, making it a large event.

President Ramnath Kovind has greeted the country and shared a picture from the Rashtrapati Bhawan. He addressed Yoga as one the part of ancient heritage. Yoga is India’s gift to Humanity which is a holistic approach to health and well-being, balancing mind, body, and soul. He further added urging everyone to make Yoga a part of their life and experience the benefits.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has also participated in the Yoga day celebration with thousand in the Thyagaraj Stadium in Delhi. Kejriwal joined members of Dilli Ki Yogashala with Manish Sisodia for the Yoga event.
In a tweet, Kejriwal noted that the Delhi government has arranged free Yoga Classes and urged the people of Delhi to practice and lead healthy lives.
In a series, the Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel too celebrated the big event day at the Sabarmati Riverfront, Ahmedabad. He also delivered the message of practicing Yoga and its benefits.
Also, the Karnataka CM Kiran Parashar shared his picture with the PM on a two-day visit to Karnataka.
Along with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman and many other ministers and notable personalities across the country celebrated Yoga day and shared the message of harmony and the benefits of Yoga.
