The entire world celebrated when Apple announced the reopening of 42 Chinese Apple Stores. But three days ago, the company announced to shut down all the stores across the globe till March 27. But, the stores located in mainland China would remain open in this period. The CEO of the company, Tim Cook, confirmed the development through a statement.
The Recent Modification
But a recent notice that published in the official website of Apple revealed that the company is closing all these stores until the further notice. The closedown of these Apple stores will encourage the customers to buy Apple products from its official website. The online stores of the company are going to be open across the world. The company also updated its FAQ page adding some important information like the repairing procedure and expected time of repair.
Tim Cook further revealed that minimising the social gathering will help to act against the noble Coronavirus. As a result, the measures that taken by Apple will help to reduce the density of the population and public gatherings.
Safety is the Primary Concern
Tim further claimed that the infection owing to Coronavirus is increasing like never before. Therefore, the decision to close down all the Apple store will minimise the Coronavirus infection risk. The move will ensure the safety of Apple employees and their loyal customers base.
Not only Apple but many Tech companies are suffering huge losses due to the recent Coronavirus outbreak. In several western countries, the majority of non-essential goods and service outlets are closed.
Previously, Apple cancelled its 31st March event to avoid public gatherings. In the previously scheduled event, the company was planning to launch its highly anticipated 4.7 inches iPhone 9, aka iPhone SE2.
