After a long wait, the successor of 2016 iPhone SE, iPhone 9, is going to make its mark on the global platform very soon. Recently, several reports confirm the highly anticipated launch of the smartphone.
Some days back, multiple rumours claimed that the company postponed the launch for an indefinite period. While giving the reasoning, they revealed that the production of iPhone 9 has hampered due to the recent coronavirus outbreak. But the recent updates strongly reject such speculations.
The Recent Decision from Apple
Recently, Apple conducted an internal meeting to take the final call on the future of the iPhone 9. After a long event of discussion, the board agrees to officially launch the device as early as the 15th of April. However, the smartphone will be available from the 22nd of April.
Thanks to the ongoing outbreak, it is highly unlikely that Apple will conduct a formal event to introduce the smartphone. However, the company might go with either an online event or a press release to announce the arrival of iPhone 9.
Specifications of iPhone 9
Design-wise, the iPhone 9 will be quite similar to the iPhone 8. Unlike the new generation iPhones, 4.7-inch iPhone will carry the traditional Touch ID sensor. Its small form factor will make it ideal for one-hand use.
Internally, the smartphone will feature the latest generation A13 processor. The combination of such a powerful processor with LCD screen will make it the most efficient smartphone in the world, by a fair margin.
Camera
The upcoming iPhone will have a single camera lens. However, this is going to be the same camera that Apple used on its iPhone 11 Series. Experts predict the upcoming iPhone can easily beat iPhone XR in terms of camera performance.
Apple is planning to launch the base variant of iPhone 9 (3 GB + 64 GB) at a price point of $399. In India, you can expect the smartphone to launch at around 35,000 INR.
