Previously, a number of rumors confirmed that Apple would launch a 4.7-inch display iPhone SE2 by the end of March. But, the recent update claims that the company is planning to release a bigger version of the device as well. According to the iOS 14 codes, a bigger iPhone SE2, aka iPhone 9, is on the card.
The Upcoming Device in Details
According to rumors, the bigger version will be similar to the iPhone 8 Plus, at least in terms of design. The phone will have a 5.5-inch LCD screen with the iconic Touch ID. But, internally, the device will feature Apple’s brand new A13 Bionic chipset. For your reference, A13 is the same processor that Apple uses in its latest generation iPhones.
Target Audience
Now it seems like the upcoming series will replace the old iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, not the iPhone SE. Here, Apple is planning to increase its customer base with its budget offerings. Once more people sign in with the Apple platform, Apple can earn a considerable amount from its services.
Besides, the upcoming budget iPhones are perfect for those who love the retro iPhone design and still sticking with their old iPhones. The launch of the rumored iPhone 9 will allow them to upgrade their old devices.
Other Specifications
Traditionally Apple offers a bigger battery capacity in the larger variants. So, one can expect a significantly larger battery with the iPhone 9 Plus. The combination of an LCD screen and A13 Bionic chip would make it the most powerful one in the industry. It is still not clear whether Apple will provide a dual camera set up or not. But, looking at the tradition of the company, it is safe to predict a dual-camera setup on the bigger variant.
