As Air India prepares for officially turning over to the Tata Group, passengers will notice a slew of changes on ‘Maharaja’ flights beginning Thursday.
The most visible immediate change would be in the dining services provided on Air India aircraft. According to India Today Television, the airline has already increased its meal options.
Upgradation of meal plans:
Meal arrangements on Mumbai-Delhi, Mumbai-Abu Dhabi, Mumbai-Bengaluru, Mumbai-Newark, and Mumbai-London routes will change as of today.
According to sources, Taj SATS, the Taj Group-led aircraft catering service, devised this meal upgrade concept.
Ratan Tata’s message:
Changes in in-flight announcements will be one of the highlights as Air India becomes a ‘Tata enterprise.’ Starting Friday, if everything goes as planned, you may hear the booming voice of Ratan Tata, the 84-year-old face of the Tata group, commemorating this momentous transfer. As the ‘Maharajah’ comes home, a special audio speech by Ratan Tata will anticipate for broadcast on flights.
Smartly dressed:
“Cabin staff is crucial brand ambassadors who play a significant part in brand/image building,” said one such letter viewed by India Today Television.
The team has notified that ‘grooming associates’ would be watching them see how they perform.
